*FeaturedLiudmila Potryvaeva
My name is Liudmila and I am from Russia. I jointed the Dream Rocket project soon after I had come to the USA in fall 2010 to become a graduate student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Acquaintance with the American culture and getting a new experience here were my key goals when I applied for a relevant scholarship. Being already here in the US I started looking for something special that was going on in Huntsville and I found the Dream Rocket project, which amazed me with its exciting idea and truly international scale. I guess that the space is a subject that thrills people’s minds everywhere. I also believe that space exploration is something that units the people from around the world with its ideas of peace, generosity, and collaboration.
I was lucky to meet Jennifer Marsh in person and learn more about the project. The Dream Rocket is a tangible expression of a hundred intangible but so important ideas about our world and its future.
Although I have enough experience of working in the nonprofit organizations in Russia, probably, no one project was so exciting to me before. It makes us to go beyond our daily routine activity, and it really inspires to dream. So, I was more than happy to distribute the information about the Dream Rocket in Russia and bring some participants from my country to this project.
